Ferns recognises that one of its key adverts and presentations to the public is it’s road going Fleet. We take immense pride in our fleet, ensuring it is always clean, safe, & well maintained. Our public image is important to our reputation & is essential for our ongoing relationship with the public.
Our fleet is constantly growing & updating. We embrace the newest technologies from the most reputable sources, ensuring that they are all safe & reliable. Amongst our fleet are over 100 HGV class vehicles including grab lorries, tippers, & specialist “Hot Boxes”
Operating across multiple Traffic Commissioner Areas with two Operators Licences, Ferns’ fleet vehicles are based across 10 Operating Centres strategically located across the South East of England, enabling us to respond quickly & efficiently to our client's needs.
Ferns prides itself on running a modern, safe and environmentally clean fleet and does all it can to reduce its impact on the public, the roads and the environment. All our HGV’s are less than 5 years old, ensuring that our vehicles are fuel efficient & reliable.
Every vehicle in our fleet is sourced from Volvo & ISUZU. We chose these suppliers as they are recognised as industry leaders in their respective classes. Volvo is recognised for their HGV’s reliability & resilience, while ISUZU has the best payload in its class.
We are proud to proactively manage our fleet to ensure it is maintained in excellent condition. This is borne out by our DVSA Key performance measures.
The national average for First Time Pass Rates on an MOT is 90%. Ferns are proud to significantly exceed that average, and does so by ensuring its fleet is always up to date, well maintained, and road worthy. We are proud to put the public’s and our operatives safety first.
Our fleet is equipped with the latest technologies to keep everything and everyone safe. All vehicles are monitored remotely from a control room. Their speed, location, & driving behaviours are all recorded to improve safety and fuel efficiency. Driving behaviour is communicated back to the drivers so that constant improvement in performance & safety is achieved.Watch Video
