    This is a great time to join Ferns Group. We are an established Utilities and Reinstatement company, specialising in Telecoms Civils, and Tailored Reinstatement services. Over 10 percent of our employees were promoted in the last 12 months and we are continuing to expand our expertise in new regions.

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Manager to support our contracts in Essex. You will be based at our Pitsea site but there will be a requirement to travel.

    Job Role

    You’ll be joining our established Transport Management team, reporting to the Group Transport Manager.

    As Transport manager you will have continuous and effective responsibilities for the management of the transport operations of the business under your control, ensuring the company fleet operates in compliance with all statutory legal requirements, together with maintaining the highest level of Health and Safety across the business.

    What you’ll need:

    • Ideally a minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar role.
    • A full UK Driving licence
    • Ideally hold a CPC licence
    • Able to operate effectively in a high-volume service driven transport operation.
    • Possessing a good understanding of all relevant legal compliance and fleet controls.
    • Experience of Budgets and Financial controls.
    • Knowledgeable in all process compliance areas including Legislative, Productivity, Quality and Service.
    • Full understanding of transport operational systems.
    • Strong communication and analytical skills.
    • Problem solving and prioritising skills.
    • People management.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
