Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Commercial Sales Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing company vehicles for sale and managing the entire sales process. This role involves inspecting, detailing, and pricing vehicles, as well as marketing and negotiating sales to ensure optimal return on investment for the Company. Responsibilities
Vehicle Preparation
- Inspect vehicles for any mechanical or cosmetic issues and carry out and/or co-ordinate necessary repairs.
- Remove items fitted to the vehicle as necessary – including trackers, and cameras.
- Carry out vehicle fit outs as required for resale or to support current company vehicle fleet.
- Thoroughly clean and detail vehicles to ensure they are in prime condition for sale.
- Ensure all necessary paperwork and documentation (title, registration, service records) are complete and accurate.
Valuation and Pricing
- Conduct market research to determine competitive pricing for each vehicle.
- In conjunction with the management team set appropriate price points based on the vehicles condition, mileage, market trends, and other relevant factors.
Marketing and Sales
- Photograph and list vehicles on various online platforms, ensuring accurate and appealing descriptions.
- Create and implement marketing strategies to attract potential buyers.
- Respond to enquires from potential buyers in a timely and professional manner.
- Schedule and conduct test drives and vehicle demonstrations for prospective customers.
Negotiation and Closing Sales
- Negotiate prices and terms of sale with buyers, aiming to achieve the best possible deal for the company.
- Finalise sales agreements and handle all transaction paperwork
- Ensure payment is received and processed correctly before transferring vehicle ownership.
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate records of all vehicles in inventory, including their status, condition, and sales progress.
- Report on sales activities, market trends, and inventory status to management regularly.
- Liaise with Transport team to ensure vehicle data and records are amended/updated regularly.
Skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong knowledge of automotive mechanics
- Good understanding of vehicle valuation
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in using online sales platforms and office software.
- Valid full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
