    Job Summary
    Ferns are looking for an experienced, self-motivated and reliable Painter Decorator to carry out works across Kent. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high quality work. Experience in minor repairs would be advantageous.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare surfaces for painting by removing old paint, filling holes, and washing walls.
    • Apply paint, varnish and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers
    • Select and mix paints to achieve the desired colour and finish
    • Perform minor repairs such as patching drywall, fixing cracks, and replacing damaged sections
    • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within the agreed timeframe.
    • Maintain a clean and organised work area
    • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements and provide recommendations

    Requirements

    • Proven experience as a Painter Decorator
    • Knowledge of painting techniques and materials
    • Ability to perform minor repairs (preferred)
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    Qualifications

    • Valid UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points (essential)
    • CSCS (preferred)
    • City & Guilds or NVQ Qualification in Painting & Decorating (preferred)

    Monday to Friday, some weekend availability may be needed at times.

    Day rate £140-£150
