    Job Overview
    We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems and demonstrate proficiency in assembling and installing various components. As a Fitter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all fittings and installations meet the required specifications and standards. This position requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

    Responsibilities

    • Assemble, fit, and install mechanical components according to engineering guidelines.
    • Conduct quality checks on completed assemblies to ensure compliance with standards.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to fittings or installations.
    • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
    • Collaborate with other team members to improve processes and efficiency.
    • Keep accurate records of work completed and materials used.
    • Report any issues to plant manager.
    • Be able to diagnose issues with plant, and order parts needed to fix them.

    Requirements

    • 5 years experience as a Fitter or in a similar role within the engineering or manufacturing sector.
    • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and equipment.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
    • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Familiarity with health and safety regulations within an industrial environment is advantageous.
    • IT literate for reporting jobs on a tablet.

    Be able to work on machinery including:

    • Petrol cut off saws
    • Trench rammers
    • Petrol water pumps
    • Compactor plates
    • Floor saws
    • Small Generators
    • Chain saws
    • Brush cutters
    • Petrol blowers

    Opportunity to work on larger plant i.e Pedestrian roller, excavators up to 8 tonne, dumpers and pavers.

    Pay: £29,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
