Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Procurement Officer to join our team, based in our Head Office in Romford, Essex, RM4 1HL.
Please be aware that your own transport will be required due to the location of the Office.
Key Responsibilities
- Generating and processing Purchase Orders. Track purchase orders for goods/services, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Identifying, evaluating, and onboarding new suppliers based on cost, reliability, and quality.
- Developing procurement strategies, analysing spending, and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Maintain the approved vendor database, update supplier records, and build relationships.
- Data entry, ensuring accuracy.
- Answering the main telephone.
- Assisting the Procurement Manager with weekly and monthly reporting.
- Administration support within the department.
- IT support and issue.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a procurement position.
- Strong persuasion and communication skills to secure favourable terms.
- PC literacy (MS Office)
- Good organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
Full Time
Monday to Friday; 7:30am to 4pm
