The Telecoms Fibre Administrator will provide administrative support to the fibre network team, assisting with the coordination of fibre installation projects, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and health & safety regulations. The role will be based in our Maidenhead office.
The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and experience in the telecoms or construction industry however, industry experience is not essential as full training will be provided for the right candidate with a positive can do attitude.
This role would suit someone keen to establish a career within the Utilities sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in coordinating fibre installation projects, liaising with engineers, subcontractors, and third-party providers to ensure smooth operations.
Maintain up-to-date records of project plans, site surveys, permits, and other relevant documentation.
Assist the team in scheduling and monitor fibre installation and maintenance appointments, within agreed timeframes.
Prepare regular reports on project progress, workforce allocation, and fibre network deployment to ensure transparency with management.
Maintain accurate data on customer accounts, fibre connections, and operational records using internal systems and databases.
Key Requirements:
Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in telecoms, construction, or utilities.
Basic knowledge of fibre optic networks and telecommunications infrastructure (desirable but not essential).
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience using telecom specific software such as CRM or fibre network planning tools (advantageous).
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Familiarity with industry health and safety standards and permit requirements (NRSWA accreditation desirable).
