    Overview
    We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and hands‑on Vehicle Sales, Preparation & Driving Specialist to support the preparation, sale, and movement of company vehicles. This varied role blends vehicle sales, fleet preparation, and driving responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys being on the road, working practically with vehicles, and managing sales activity end‑to‑end.

    You will be responsible for preparing vehicles for resale, marketing and selling vehicles to achieve best value, transporting vehicles between locations, and supporting wider fleet and transport operations

    Key Responsibilities

    Vehicle Sales & Marketing

    • Manage the full vehicle sales process from preparation to handover.
    • Conduct market research to determine competitive and realistic pricing.
    • Set vehicle prices in conjunction with management, considering condition, mileage, and market demand.
    • Photograph and advertise vehicles on online sales platforms with accurate, compelling descriptions.
    • Respond promptly and professionally to buyer enquiries.
    • Organise and conduct vehicle demonstrations and test drives.
    • Negotiate sale terms and pricing to achieve the best return for the business.
    • Complete all sales documentation and ensure secure payment prior to ownership transfer.

    Vehicle Preparation & Fit-Outs

    • Inspect vehicles for mechanical or cosmetic issues and carry out or arrange necessary repairs.
    • Clean and detail vehicles to a high standard for resale or operational use.
    • Remove or install equipment such as trackers, cameras, and internal fittings as required.
    • Carry out basic vehicle fit‑outs for resale or to support the active company fleet.
    • Ensure all vehicle documentation (service history, registration, records) is accurate and up to date.

    Driving & Vehicle Movement

    • Safely collect, deliver, and reposition company vehicles across multiple locations.
    • Drive a range of vehicle types, handling all vehicles responsibly and professionally.
    • Assist with vehicle logistics, transportation planning, and scheduling when required.

    Fleet & Inventory Support

    • Maintain accurate records for all vehicles, including condition, status, and sales progress.
    • Report regularly to management on sales activity, inventory levels, and market trends.
    • Liaise closely with the Transport and Fleet teams to ensure vehicle data is updated correctly.
    • Support general fleet operations and ad‑hoc business tasks as required.

    Skills & Requirements

    • Confident and competent driver with a valid full UK driving licence (maximum 6 points) – Class 2 HGV licence preferred.
    • Experience in vehicle sales or fleet operation environments is desirable.
    • Good understanding of vehicle valuation and market pricing.
    • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
    • Practical, hands‑on approach and willingness to assist across varied tasks.
    • Basic mechanical knowledge is beneficial but not essential.
    • Organised, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
    • Comfortable using online sales platforms and standard office software.
