    Overview
    We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Logistical Load Planner to join our operations team. In this fast-paced role, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and optimising the movement of aggregate materials across our network, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries for our customers.

    You will work closely with weighbridge operators, quarry teams, the transport team, and customers to ensure efficient utilisation of fleet capacity, adherence to safety standards, and service delivery.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan, schedule, and allocate truck loads for aggregate deliveries across multiple sites.
    • Monitor delivery routes and vehicle utilisation to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime.
    • Liaise with internal teams and external hauliers to coordinate daily logistics activities.
    • Respond to operational changes, delays, or urgent customer requirements with quick problem-solving.
    • Ensure compliance with health & safety, transport regulations, and company procedures.
    • Maintain accurate records of loads, delivery times, and order updates.
    • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding delivery status and expectations.

    Experience

    • Proven experience in logistics planning, transport coordination, or scheduling — ideally within aggregates, construction materials, or heavy haulage.
    • Possesses excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Is highly organised, detail-focused, and able to prioritise effectively.
    • Understands transport compliance, HGV regulations, and safe loading practices (Desirable).
    • Valid UK Driving licence and own transport due to location.

    Monday to Friday
    7am – 5pm

    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

    £30,000 to £35,000 per annum
