We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Buyer to join our small and friendly Buying team based at our picturesque Head Office location outside Maidstone, Kent.

Day to day duties:

· Raising Purchase Orders for materials and services accurately & efficiently for several companies within the group

· Compiling data

· Expediting deliveries to ensure continuity of supply

· Liaising with suppliers

· Building good working relationships with internal stakeholders as well as Key Suppliers

· Promoting & abiding by best procurement practices

· Raising & amending material lines, prices & suppliers on our system

We require the following qualities:

· Good communication skills both verbally & written

· Fast thinking and adaptable individual

· Strong problem solving skills

· Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Outlook

· Hardworking, tenacious, dedicated, proactive individual

· Desire to advance personal development within procurement

Additional Requirements:

Full, clean UK Driving Licence and use of own transport due to the location of Head Office
