We have an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Weighbridge Assistant, with Ferns Aggregates.

The Weighbridge Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate weighing and recording of incoming and outgoing goods at our busy Quarry, based in Wrotham, Kent. This position involves working closely with HGV drivers, contractors, LCV drivers, visitors and management to facilitate the efficient flow of traffic and maintain precise records of all transactions.

Responsibilities:

– Operate weighbridge equipment to accurately weigh incoming and outgoing vehicles.

– Record and verify vehicle information, including driver details, vehicle registration numbers, and load descriptions.

– Communicate effectively with drivers and onsite personnel including visitors to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

– Assist in resolving discrepancies or issues related to weights, loads, or documentation.

– Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the weighbridge area.

– Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.

What you will need:

– A positive and engaging personality

– Prior experience in a similar role preferred but not required.

– Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

– Full UK driving licence

– Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping.

– Willingness to work flexible hours, if required

Due to the location of the Quarry, you will require your own transport.
