    Position Overview:  

    We are seeking a skilled and experienced FTTP Civils and Fibre Build Contracts Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and management of civils and fibre build contracts on the Openreach network. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications infrastructure projects, exceptional leadership abilities, and a proven record of successful contract management.

     Key Responsibilities:  

    1.  Contract Management:  

       – Lead the negotiation, administration, and management of civils and fibre build contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.

       – Ensure compliance with contractual agreements, specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

       – Monitor contract performance, milestones, deliverables, and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.

    2.  Project Planning and Coordination:  

       – Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and procurement teams, to develop project plans, schedules, and resource allocation.

       – Coordinate with Openreach and other external partners to facilitate access, permits, and approvals required for FTTP infrastructure deployment.

       – Conduct site surveys, risk assessments, and feasibility studies to inform project planning and decision-making processes

    3.  Quality Assurance and Health & Safety:  

       – Implement robust quality assurance processes to ensure that civils and fibre build activities meet industry standards, technical specifications, and customer expectations.

       – Promote a culture of health and safety excellence, compliance, and risk mitigation across all construction sites and operations.

       – Conduct regular inspections, audits, and reviews to identify and address potential hazards, non-conformities, and areas for improvement.

    4.  Financial Management:  

       – Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and financial performance against agreed targets and forecasts.

       – Identify cost-saving opportunities, efficiencies, and value engineering initiatives to optimize project profitability and return on investment.

       – Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses for senior management and stakeholders.

    5.  Team Leadership and Development:  

       – Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the civils and fibre build project teams, subcontractors, and vendors.

       – Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement to drive operational excellence and project success.

       – Coach, mentor, and develop team members to enhance their skills, knowledge, and professional growth.

    Qualifications and Experience:  

    – Proven experience in managing FTTP civils and fibre build contracts within the telecommunications industry, preferably on the Openreach network.

    – In-depth knowledge of civil engineering principles, fibre optic network design, installation techniques, and construction methodologies.

    – Strong understanding of contract law, procurement processes, and commercial negotiations.

    – Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

    – Proficiency in project management tools, software, and reporting systems.
